Intermediate Y7 to 8 – certified teacher (Suitable for a beginning teacher)

Whakatane Intermediate School is looking to appoint a fixed-term, full-time teacher to begin term three, Monday 22^nd July to Wednesday 18^th December, 2024.

We are looking for an energetic and self motivated educator who values and understands the unique nature of the emerging adolescent. Experience at this age group is not essential but an interest and passion for it would be an advantage. An in depth curriculum knowledge is vital to this position, as well as having knowledge of using digital devices for education. 

The successful applicant needs to have a collaborative approach, the ability to build strong relationships with whanau, a belief in being a learner themselves and contribute to a friendly and caring staffroom culture. A commitment in contributing to the school’s strong co-curricular programme would also be of interest.
