Permanent ECE 2IC position for ECE teacher: registered, experienced, responsible. Mt Eden.

Our beautiful childcare centre has been family-owned and operated for over 30 years, and is a well-established and respected service in Mt Eden, licensed for 65 children. Amidst a quiet residential street our carefully repurposed houses cater specifically for the birth to five age group and have been designed to allow for space, flexibility of routines and plenty of ‘elbow-room’ for all children to engage and explore. 

Our vision is to create a relaxed home-away-from home for young children where their day is unhurried and nurturing relationships form the basis of learning and growth.

We currently seek an experienced 2IC to partner with us by working alongside our mostly qualified teaching team with the support from the owner. 

The role is both on and off the floor, ensuring the provision and stability of our high quality early learning service to our tamariki and families as you work alongside our teachers. (Incidentally, we NEVER need to use relieving teachers from agencies.).

• We welcome applications from candidates who are qualified, NZTC registered teachers and experienced ECE educators and demonstrate essential skills including professional knowledge about the learning and development of children (0 to 5 years old) and all aspects of curriculum, planning and documentation.
• As part of our management team, you will lead by example, uphold a high degree of professionalism and be a confident communicator in both written and verbal English. You will be able to use your initiative and will nurture positive relationships, mentoring colleagues and providing support to our families.
