Do you want to be part of a team in a supportive independently owned centre?

We have an opportunity to work at our new satellite centre: Tuakau Learning Centre – Harrisville.

We seeking a trained early childhood kaiako – holding certification. Ideally, we are seeking a kaiako to join our team 40 hours per week but part-time hours will be considered.

We are a culturally rich and diverse centre that is well established in the Tuakau community and we are going to continue this within our new centre.

We take pride in working within our community and have amazing relationships with local groups, schools and other organisations whom we support.

Our centrewide teaching philosophy is based around 'loose parts' and through this supports our children's social competence skills, independence and leadership; building on skills that will equip them to do their best in life. Our outdoor area gives our tamariki the opportunities they need to grow and learn at their own pace.

It is important to us that within our centre each tamariki has a sense of belonging for themselves and their whānau.

As a kaiako in our centre you need to be committed to providing the best outcomes for children. By keeping up to date with current theory and practice this will support you in your day flowing through to the programme and daily routines. You enjoy setting up an engaging and inviting environment that gives children time to engage, to think and respond. Being a positive supportive team player is a must. If you are honest, reliable and really enjoy being part of a child’s learning journey then we would love to hear from you.

If you are a new graduate or are nearing the end of your studies we are a centre who can also support you through this.
