Notice reference #: 1HAhhz

Professor Alison Clark will be in Aotearoa New Zealand and Educational Leadership Project is delighted to be supporting her with TWO exciting full-day workshops:

  • Auckland: Thursday 10 October, 9am to 3pm: From Slow to Deep: Exploring connections to place over time, with Alison Clark and Jacqui Lees
  • Waikato: Tuesday 15 October, 9am to 3pm: Slow Knowledge and the Unhurried Child, with Alison Clark and Emma Parangi.

Alison Clark will introduce key themes from her two year study: ‘Slow knowledge and the unhurried child’ that explored the relationship with time in ECEC and draws attention to the importance of slow practices. What might a timeful kindergarten look like? How does this relate to a pedagogy of listening and what is the particular contribution that connections to place bring to thinking about ‘slow’?

Alison will be supported by Jacqui Lees (Auckland) and Emma Parangi (Waikato). Tickets include a delicious morning tea and lunch.
