We are excited to announce our brand-new free professional development opportunity for teachers and educators.
Explore - Key civics concepts, how our New Zealand Parliament functions, and how members of the public can participate in our democratic system.
Engage - In interactive activities, lessons and discussions designed to help you connect and teach these concepts within your own classroom.
Experience - Being part of a community of educators passionate about empowering their students to be informed active participants in our society.
Set over two sessions these offer a chance to:
- Upskill and increase your own knowledge of our Parliament and how it functions
- Explore our resources and gain practical ideas of how you can implement these in your own class
- Gain a range of activities, and lesson plan ideas to take back to your own class and empower you to successfully teach civics education.
Held from 3.30pm–4.30pm, these sessions will be offered virtually so you can join online as a team, or individually.
