The Prime Minister's Future Scientist Prize opens on 1 August and closes at 1pm on 30th October 2024.
This Prize is for a Year 12 of Year 13 student who has undertaken science research or a mathematics, technological or an engineering project and who is studying in a New Zealand registered school.
Value of Prize
The Prize is valued at $50,000 and must be used for tertiary education.

Services Academies is a one-year Secondary Transitions programme that is delivered in partnership between schools and the New Zealand Defence Force. The programme aims to help students stay engaged in learning while developing valuable life, leadership, and employment skills.
The Ministry is now looking for a school to deliver this programme and is inviting Expressions of Interest before 16 August 2024.
