Suzanne Aubert Catholic School (I) Scale A teacher–kaiako (special character position) full time, permanent start date term 1 2025.

Suzanne Aubert Catholic School is a new integrated Y1–6 Catholic primary school that opened in Pāpāmoa in February 2021. Our foundation school currently has a roll of 193 learners and serves a large, diverse and emerging coastal community. Our vision is to engage, inspire and empower through Christ.

We seek a teacher-kaiako who is committed to designing learning that will engage, inspire and empower global citizens for the future. Our passionate teacher will be innovative, collaborative and purposeful in creating learning opportunities that promote agency and inquiry within authentic contexts.

With learning at the centre, we aim to foster a world class Catholic education that empowers children to be courageous, creative, collaborative and faithful to our special Catholic character. We aim to promote a sense of compassion and manaakitanga through service in our community in the spirit of our patron Suzanne Aubert.

Our innovative learning environments are flexible and based on current theories of learning and futures oriented practices. We seek an educator who has strengths, passion and expertise in any of the following areas of our key signature practices: Te reo me ōna tikanga STEM, environmental science and science citizenship, visual and performing arts, learning through play.

A willingness and ability to participate in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school is a condition of appointment.
