Senior classroom teacher

This is a great opportunity to work in a very positive and happy rural school. We are seeking a committed, passionate and inspiring senior class teacher to join the Dipton School team in 2025.

Dipton School is a small, growing, rural school, situated between Lumsden and Winton in beautiful Southland. We currently have 43 students and are structured into two main classrooms (Y0–3 and Y4–8) however this is flexible depending on our growing roll. There is a strong sense of community among staff, and we are always willing to work hard, help each other out, and have fun. Teachers are encouraged to try new things, work together, and develop their own teaching styles.

Our students are engaged and responsive learners and our parent community is extremely friendly and supportive. It is an exceptionally positive place to live, teach and learn!

We are a strong sporting school, so we would be keen to know how you could contribute to this, and/or assist in other extra curricula areas.

The successful applicant will have the full support of a very happy team and a principal and Board who strive to ensure you enjoy coming to work and make a real difference in every child’s life.

Applicants must have the ability to provide a positive learning environment, bring out the best in every learner, and have a desire for ongoing professional development. The ability to form strong relationships with our students, staff, and wonderful community is absolutely vital, and a proven ability to teach in a multi-level classroom would also be an advantage.
