Junior school teacher

We are looking for an energetic and experienced junior school teacher (NE-Y3) to join us in 2025.

An understanding of the unique needs of children when they first enter school is an important part of this position. You will have a proven ability to build strong and positive relationships with children as well as their whānau.

The ability to build a caring and supportive classroom environment that nurtures children as they transition to our school is key.

A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, which is reflected in your classroom practice, is important to us.

Experience in or a commitment to Structured Literacy and/or music will be an advantage.

• Relationships: A track-record of positive relationship building with students, whānau and staff

• Experience: Proven experience as an effective junior teacher (NE-Y3) with a commitment to up-to-date practice

• Teaching: Demonstrated ability to teach effectively, with a strong grasp of pedagogy and student engagement strategies for junior students

• Organisation: Highly organised, efficient and capable of managing a dynamic schedule

• Team Player: The desire to work as part of a team and support colleagues across the school.
