Whangaparāoa College is located 35 minutes north of the Auckland Harbour Bridge on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast with a school roll of 1,803 learners from Y7 to Y13. The college has outstanding facilities, a committed and talented staff, and a focus on learner achievement.

We are seeking an inspiring and passionate homeroom teacher to join our friendly and supportive Y7 team.

We need someone who brings energy and enthusiasm for learning, shows initiative and communicates clearly. They must be a collaborative team player, with a positive attitude to learning. This position would be suitable for primary trained teachers with strong classroom management. You must be able to show a commitment to being culturally responsive and to demonstrate the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

The successful applicant must have an excellent working knowledge of the NZ Curriculum and be highly student-centred to accelerate learning. All applicants must have current NZ teacher registration, and be eligible to work in New Zealand.
