Head of faculty - social sciences

We are seeking an experienced and motivated leader for our strong and well-resourced social sciences department who has demonstrated a strong commitment to inclusive practices and giving effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. 

This position will commence at the beginning of the 2025 academic year. 

This position will be at the forefront of driving educational innovation and supporting the development of both students and teaching staff. Your responsibilities will include curriculum development, fostering a collaborative teaching environment, and contributing to the school's continued growth.

• Be a dynamic educator with a deep passion for social sciences and demonstrate commitment and ability to support a range of social science subjects within the department. 
• Be a team player who thrives in collaborative environments and is dedicated to sharing best practices including effective classroom pedagogy and curriculum design with colleagues.
• Have strong leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and guide both students and teaching staff
• Have excellent organisational and communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff
• Have the ability to support and develop a range of courses within the Social Sciences to meet the diverse needs of ākonga.

Applicants must be NZ registered, fully conversant with the NZ Curriculum and have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
