Whānau/homeroom teacher

Te Kura Tuarua o Tawera | Darfield High School has an opportunity for a talented teacher. Due to staff leave, we are seeking a trained teacher for a Y7 or 8 class. The successful candidate will work in a year level team of six teachers, supported by a wider school team, teaching 20 contact hours per week in either a single cell or a collaborative classroom.

A role within the pastoral system of the school may be available for a candidate with suitable experience.

As a semi-rural school close to Christchurch, at the heart of our community, our change programme is based on a strong vision. We’re in the early stages of PB4L and restorative practices, curriculum reform and cultural capability development. We have 790 students, Y7–13, most of whom are very well supported from home and well connected to their school, some of whom need us to adapt our practice to meet their needs.
