We are seeking a part-time physiotherapist with a passion for working with learners with complex physical, sensory and behavioural needs. We are open to negotiations on the days of work. Ideally, someone with experience working in school setting is favoured, however, new graduates can apply. We provide education for students aged 5 to 21 years with physical, intellectual and associated challenges; all of whom are ORS funded. Our students are educated at our base school and satellite sites.
CASS provides support, mentoring and professional development. The successful applicant will be part of a highly effective and collaborative team, consisting of occupational therapists, speech and language therapists physiotherapists, teachers and learning assistants.
The ideal applicant will have:
A current practising certificate issued by the Physiotherapy Board of NZ
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Sensitivity to cultural and ethnic diversity and a commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.
A current driver’s license and vehicle.
The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the relevant collective agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $60,484 to $90.880, depending on applicant’s qualifications and experience. Individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
Kaiārahi i te Reo, Therapists', ATSSD and Special Education Assistants' Collective Agreement applies to this position and salary is commensurate with qualification and experience. With the settlement of the Therapists Pay Equity claim, salary will be adjusted accordingly, in the latter part of this year
