Food technology teacher

Long Bay College is a co-educational secondary school located in a peaceful location near Long Bay Beach and the new Long Bay Village. The school opened in 1975 and has approximately 1800 students with 150 teaching and support staff combined.

An exciting opportunity is available for an outstanding teacher of Food Technology who can teach up to NCEA Level 3 in a well-resourced, progressive and innovative faculty, with a proven track record for outstanding results and scholarships.

The person will ideally have skills in teaching a range of Technology subjects, with a focus on Food Technology up to and including NCEA Level 3.

Successful applicants will be expected to participate in the extensive co-curricular programme at the college.

This is a permanent full-time position to commence term 1, 2025.

Contract and remuneration will be in accordance with the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement (STCA): www.education.govt.nz/school/people-and-employment/employment-agreements/collective-agreements

Annual remuneration is dependent on service and qualifications, starting rate of $59,027 and top rate of $99,216. Hours of work will be full-time as set out in the STCA.

New graduate teachers may be eligible for a pre-tax payment of $10,500 through the Voluntary Bonding Scheme, subject to conditions.
