Community leader

We are looking for an experienced leader to contribute to our strong pastoral team. A community leader (dean) at Hobsonville Point Secondary School provides leadership and support for the Hub Coaches in their community and oversees and manages pastoral care for the 250 students in their community from Y9 to Y13. They are responsible for growing teacher capacity to be effective academic and pastoral mentors.  

This role is suitable for teachers who have demonstrated highly effective pedagogy as a teacher, and as a Hub Coach, tutor teacher, house leader and/or dean themselves. The role requires strong interpersonal skills. Community leaders work collaboratively with other leaders, with the hub coaches in their community, and with ākonga and whānau.
