Head of department learning support and SENCO

Havelock North High School is seeking a primary or secondary trained teacher to take on the role as head of department (learning support) which includes the role of Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCO).

The position involves a 0.56 FTTE teaching load made up of four junior (Y9-10) learning support classes. The successful applicant will also be responsible for coordinating a team of learning support teacher aides and for taking on the responsibilities that fall under the role of SENCO. 

We are looking for a highly organised, dedicated professional and someone who has an interest in supporting students with diverse learning needs. The successful applicant will be joining a well-resourced department in a high functioning and well-regarded school.
