Learning support coordinator – Ruapehu Kāhui Ako

Ruapehu Kāhui Ako (RKA) is seeking a learning support coordinator (LSC) to work across our schools and early learning services. Our two allocated LSCs cover 11 entities within the Central Plateau from as far north as National Park across to Waiouru and a little further south than Raetihi and everything in between.

We are looking for a dedicated professional who has high expectations for student achievement and engagement. They will need to demonstrate the ability to coordinate support for students, and staff across our Kāhui Ako. Strengths in communication, time management, collaboration, pedagogy, flexibility, initiative and experience in teaching with students with needs and applying for support are key to the success of this role. 

The role requires a person who can liaise and build positive and effective relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders including ākonga, kaiako, SENCOs, whānau, iwi, RKA key leadership team and various agencies. The successful candidate will work closely and collaboratively with our other LSC and be a proven team player.
