We are seeking an experienced and passionate educational leader to join our dynamic team as a deputy principal. Located in the heart of Nelson, our large urban school is committed to providing exceptional education within a culturally responsive and inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and enhance the delivery of the New Zealand Curriculum with a focus on innovative and effective pedagogy.
Drive culturally responsive practices throughout the school, ensuring that all students' identities, languages, and cultures are valued and integrated into their learning.
Collaborate closely with the principal, learning support coordinator, and the Board of Trustees to develop and implement strategic goals for the school.
About you:
A skilled teacher with an in-depth knowledge of the NZ Curriculum and a proven track record of implementing effective teaching strategies.
A leader who is committed to fostering a culturally responsive environment where diversity is celebrated, and every student has the opportunity to succeed.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and lead staff and students alike.
The successful applicant will be fully released from classroom duties to focus on leadership responsibilities, ensuring they can contribute significantly to the school's growth and success.
