The Marian Early Childhood Centre is a vibrant Catholic early childhood centre committed to providing exceptional care and learning opportunities for children. We believe in the positive character formation of our tamariki united with families in experiencing the presence of God in their lives.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced manager to lead our dynamic team of educators and support staff. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader who is dedicated to nurturing the growth and development of young children while integrating Catholic values into their daily learning experiences.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the ECE centre, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of educators, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with Catholic teachings and meets the developmental needs of young children.
• Ensure that all educational activities reflect the centre’s mission and values, promoting a holistic approach to child development
• Build strong relationships with families and the community, promoting open communication and partnership.
• Manage administrative tasks, including budgeting, enrolment, and staff scheduling.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children and staff.

Role requirements:

• An inspirational leader with an innate ability to develop and lead a team in a Catholic learning environment
• Bachelor's Degree in Education/Diploma in Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification (masteral degree preferred) 
• Initiative, desire and passion for quality practice standards and commitment to the principles of Te Whāriki 
• Ensure implementation of Catholic religious education
• Experience in a leadership role within an early childhood setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively manage and inspire a team
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Current first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
