Director of international students

We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional to join our innovative and inclusive school as the director of international students. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our international programme.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational and pastoral care services
• Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain international students
• Coordinate orientation programmes and ongoing support services to help students adjust in New Zealand and succeed academically
• Liaise with students, parents, agents, and other external organisations 
• Work with in-school stakeholders including the BoT, teachers and students to create an exciting learning environment which fosters cultural diversity and inclusion
• Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies
• Manage budgets and resources effectively.

Qualifications and experience:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in education or international relations, marketing or a related field
• Experience in a leadership role, preferably within an international educational setting
• Ideally, experience in a NZ high school and familiarity with NCEA
• Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with international education
• Excellent communication, people skills, strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Flexibility to be able to travel internationally for marketing
• Familiarity with Google Suite and various marketing technologies.
