Learning support coordinator

Hauraki Plains College is ‘More Than a School’. We offer an exceptional educational experience, where our young people are nurtured, inspired and empowered to achieve highly and be strong in this world. 

Due to the resignation of a long standing and much respected staff member, we are looking to recruit a new learning support coordinator to join our learning support team.

We are looking for candidates who are able to:

• Build positive connections with families and agencies as they are the face of our school
• Work in a solutions-focused and collaborative manner with our learning support team and SLT
• Support teachers in the development of their teaching practice
• Wrap a projective and supportive korowai around our students who need additional support. Ensure our students have access to the internal and external services they need.
  

Our school promotes and enjoys a collaborative and supportive culture where we are committed to ‘Excellence is Our Tradition’.  We are undertaking professional development of all staff with a particular focus on school wide literacy and numeracy. 

This is a full-time, permanent position, with a flexible start date. Ideally we would like applicants to start at the beginning of term 4 but we are flexible for the most suitable candidate.
