We are seeking a friendly, dynamic, committed teacher with a passion for teaching, to join our hardworking team in term 1, 2025.
Awakeri School has a roll of around 335 and is about 10 minutes out of Whakatāne in the beautiful Eastern Bay of Plenty.
A positive attitude is a must, and we are after someone willing to go the extra mile for our students. Our school has high expectations for staff and students and our school motto, 'Be the best you can be' underlies everything we do. We offer an inclusive, positive learning environment (PB4L) and we are implementing Structured Literacy across all levels of the school. Experience in using Prime Maths is desirable.
The successful applicant will first and foremost build and develop highly effective and positive relationships with children and have a firm commitment to student progress and achievement. A willingness to deepen and integrate your understanding of te reo and Tikanga Māori is a must. Our school is a fantastic and positive place to teach, with great kids and staff, lots of laughs and a friendly, supportive community.
