Director of international students

Papanui High School, an innovative and inclusive school in Christchurch, is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of International Students. Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the International Students department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational and pastoral care services.
• Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain international students, enhancing the school's global reputation.
• Coordinate orientation programmes and ongoing support services to help international students adjust to life in New Zealand and succeed academically.
• Liaise with students, parents, agents, and external organisations to promote and support the international programme.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies, including visa and immigration requirements.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in education, international relations, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within an educational setting, preferably involving international students.
• Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with international education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to promoting cultural diversity and inclusion.
