HOD learning support

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to lead our Learning Support programme. The HoD will have responsibility for overseeing programmes of learning catering for for students who are working at well below curriculum expectations. The HoD will work closely with the Director of Learning Development with a focus on strategic planning and future direction.

We seek an energetic and enthusiastic person with a passion for inclusive education practices. Previous experience teaching students with learning difficulties and / or in a primary setting is an advantage.

Applicants for positions at Avondale College must be NZ registered teachers and will endorse the school’s academic priority as well as be expected to participate in the extensive co-curricular life of the school.

The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,678 to $99,216 depending on applicants' qualifications and experience. Individuals' actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
