We are seeking an exceptional teacher to join our Y5–6 team as a teacher and sports leader.

The successful candidate will work with a motivated, experienced team, uphold our school values, and drive student progress. We seek passionate, collaborative individuals who thrive in a high-performing environment. The ideal candidate will lead sports and PE across the school, coach teams for inter-school events, and run lunchtime sports.

  • Positive growth mindset in teaching te reo Māori and Te Ao Māori
  • Strong working knowledge of assessment for learning
    Balanced approach to school and home relationships, fostering positive relationships with families and the community
  • A sense of humour, flexibility, and enjoyment in making a difference

Desirable strengths:

Experience in teaching with a Structured Literacy approach and The Code Knowledge and practice with Writer’s Toolbox Curriculum strength in PE and Health Leadership in school-wide sports and PE. Ability to support Powhiri and Mihi Whakatau with Whaikorero Scale A Y3–4.

We integrate Aotearoa - New Zealand’s Histories and Te Ao Māori into our curriculum and uphold a strong EFS ethos.
