Team leader certified ECE teacher (Kaiako)

Millie’s House in Daly St, Lower Hutt is has a role for a team leader, certified ECE teacher.  You could have team leader experience or be ready for a step up to grow your leadership skills.  

We are seeking a local New Zealand registered early childhood teacher, who embraces diversity and the local curriculum we support. This is a full-time role. The successful applicant will have knowledge of our curriculum and be able to bring their experiences to the centre to help develop the local curriculum.  You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge around licensing criteria, internal evaluation and self-review.  

Your passion for teaching and supporting your team is important as well as the ability to work with a large team.  We work to great ratios and our team of Kaiako are full of cultural diversity and experience.

Millie’s House offers Extended Pay Parity as the base, with additional steps for leadership roles and above benchmark ratios.

Job description:

A team leader, who is a certified ECE teacher for Millie’s House, works with mana, aspiration and commitment to the operational high performance of their centre and teaching space, in ensuring safety, wellbeing and positive relationships with all when setting the curriculum, environment and guiding the children’s educational and developmental journey.

Our Centre is responsible for providing quality early childhood education and care services to children under six years old. Our centre follows the Motto, Kaupapa and Values of Childcare & Learning Group, our overarching company. Certified ECE Teachers contribute to the centre philosophy, ensuring the philosophy, along with the strategic plan, internal and external evaluations underpin the delivery of a quality and informed local service curriculum and the practice of intentional teaching.
