Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand's largest school with a roll of up to 24,000 ākonga (students) at any point of time. We provide personalised learning programmes from early childhood to NCEA Level 3.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this position
We are looking for an innovative and collaborative team leader – learning support to join Te Aka Taumatua ropu in this key management role. Te Aka Taumatua leads the bilingual and immersion te reo Māori provision for full-time, young adults and dual-registered ākonga (students) through te reo Māori at Te Kura.
Passionate about making a difference for students with additional needs, you will be responsible for the coordination of their learning support and will support students to achieve their learning goals. You will lead and manage Teacher Aides, Additional Teachers, Mentors and Reader/Writers in the Northern Region and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Ko koe tēnei | About you
You’ll come from a teaching background and have experience working with students who have additional learning needs, and knowledge of special education pedagogy. As a strong communicator and excellent relationship builder, you have proven stakeholder management and are a natural influencer.
You must have a current New Zealand Teacher’s Registration and be eligible to work and reside in New Zealand.
