An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced leader committed to maintaining our collaborative, student-centric approach at our special kura. Our Principal of eighteen years is leaving us and we are looking for our next leader. Kaeo School is located in the heart of Northland and the Whangaroa Harbour district. Our Kaeo community is proud of our facilities and well-loved community school.

Kaeo School aims for educational excellence in the broadest sense with a focus on inclusiveness, collaboration, nurturing and encouraging relationships and academic achievement. We have great ākonga and whānau, dedicated and skilful kaiako and a supportive Board and community.  

Whether you are a deputy principal ready to step up to principalship or an existing principal seeking a new opportunity in a well-established school, you will have:

• The ability to inspire and motivate others, creating a collaborative and inclusive school culture
• Proven skills in providing professional and instructional leadership, supporting Kaiako and ākonga to achieve their best
• Experience in implementing strategic priorities with a focus on balancing stability and change with outcomes focused on serving the needs of our school community
• A demonstrated commitment to maintaining effective systems and resources, ensuring that all decisions and actions are in the best interests of ākonga, kaiako and our wider community.

Ultimately, we are looking for someone to bring energy and enthusiasm, with a demonstrated commitment to protecting and enhancing the school's legacy for future generations.
