Who are we? 

Tai Tapu Primary School (Y1-8) is one of the oldest schools in Canterbury (1876), only 30 minutes from Christchurch.  We are proud of a long tradition of semi-rural education, which combines the benefits of a rural fringe position with all the opportunities of contemporary educational practice. 

Best practice pedagogy, quality teaching and learning, differentiated learning programmes and a richly resourced local curriculum culminate in success for our ākonga and whānau. This success spans academics, sports, culture and the arts.

Our tamariki are passionate learners who take responsibility for their learning, understand their strengths and how their actions make a difference.
