We are looking for an experienced, New Zealand registered teacher who has a passion for working with disadvantaged young people, for our small, well-supported Alternative Education unit. This caters for students who need more support to gain their full academic potential.
To commence on Monday 26 August or as soon as possible thereafter by negotiation.
Knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and in particular literacy and numeracy is essential. The position may suit a Primary trained teacher.
The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with rangatahi and their Whānau is essential and knowledge of Tikanga and Te Ao Māori would be an advantage.
