U8, 980+ students. Deputy principal: e-Learning and infrastructure (7-9MU). Term 1, 2025 start.

One of our deputy principals is off to further his career in Melbourne, so we have another exciting career opportunity for an ambitious, highly energised and competent aspiring principal, who ‘does’ e-Learning stuff, but is not mechanical about it. Knowledgeable about modern integrated learning and teaching pedagogies, you will add to our creative inquiry philosophy, optimistic about what we can do for all our learners (kids and staff), knowing how to effectively and sensibly use devices in classrooms, but also with a head for digital nerdy infrastructure stuff?

You will seamlessly work in close collaboration with our DP: learning and teaching and DP: professional learning leader. You will be capable of spearheading our future-focused e-Learning programme, leading staff into creating strong, engaged, digitally literate 21st century learners. You will also be a genuine believer in a well-rounded, balanced, hands-on curriculum that is not just about reading, writing, math, and digital technologies and hardware!

Having said all this, luckily, because we are a fully one-to-one device school, you will be incredibly well supported by a full-time IT manager who does the day-to-day fixing, installation/troubleshooting – basically the grunt work!

You will be highly visible in classes, working alongside/with teachers so your interpersonal/communication skills will be outstanding. Patient, especially with those of us with inferior IT skills (like the principal!), you will be calm and encouraging, possessing superior personal classroom IT integration practices that serve as a real model/exemplar to others.

We look forward to working with a new leader who has initiative, is excited by e-Learning integration, is highly organised/efficient, is not a ‘clock watcher’, and who will be able to handle, and thrive in our incredibly busy, dynamic environment.

How to apply

Keen? Our leadership structure is very different to other schools and visits strongly encouraged – to organise email Iain and ask for an application pack (only available via email, although the full information pack is on our website).
