We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic leader for our Technology Faculty (start date to be negotiated).

Located on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast of Auckland, KingsWay is a high achieving, growing, state integrated Christian school catering for Y1-13 students.  Our staff are supportive and collaborative, and our work is inspired by love/aroha, heartened by faith/whakapono in Jesus Christ, and motivated by gospel hope/tūmanako. 

This permanent full time 3SU role is responsible to:

• Effectively engage with and teach technology to students in Y10–13 and evaluate the department’s academic process and achievement 
• Continue to develop effective unit/standards which respond effectively and appropriately to students needs 
• Successfully lead, mentor, and influence team members 
• Promote and support faculty professional development
• Hold effective faculty meetings 
• Ensure whole school assessment, reporting, and moderation practices are being adhered to 
• Contribute to strategic HOF and Senior School meetings 

The successful candidate will: 

• Possess a high degree of pedagogical knowledge and experience in the Technology curriculum (NCEA Level 2-3)
• Have a proven ability to relate well and be culturally responsive
• Be innovative and digitally proficient 
• Be motivated, organised, and student-centred 
• Be capable of developing sustainable systems of departmental evaluation and improvement 
• Be resilient and exhibiting a very positive, and professional attitude 
• Champion the language, vision, and values of KingsWay School
• Have experience in HMT
