Northland Kindergarten Association (NKA) is seeking a dedicated and visionary teacher to join Doubtless Bay Kindergarten. Are you an early childhood teacher in the Far North (or further afield) wanting to work part time as a member of a strong forward-thinking team? Doubtless Bay Kindergarten is looking for a trained early childhood teacher to work two days a week (Thursdays and Fridays). 

Doubtless Bay Kindergarten operates as an All-Year Model. Staff benefit from 30 days annual leave and 15 professional time days per year along with 10 non-contact hours per week both prorated for part-time teachers. NKA offer excellent professional development budgets and staff have opportunity to apply for annual scholarships and wellness initiatives.

You would be joining a team of four other teachers and a part-time administrator.  The kindergarten operates five 6-hour sessions Monday to Friday, catering for a roll of 30 children between two and six years of age. The kindergarten environment is well resourced with a large outdoors area that offers lots of opportunity for creativity, discovery and exploration.   

Doubtless Bay Kindergarten is part of a network of 25 kindergartens within the NKA. The kindergarten is supported by a professional practice and management team. Northland Kindergarten Association adheres to the employment conditions as offered in the Kindergarten Teacher, Head Teachers and Senior Teachers Collective Agreement 2023–2026. 

Applicants must hold a recognised New Zealand ECE qualification (minimum Dip Teaching ECE), current practicing certificate and first aid certificate.
