Due to the consistent growth in occupancy, BestStart Cashmere is seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher in-training to join our energetic team.

Here at BestStart Cashmere we have a shared centre vision of 'Together with kindness, We Grow'. Our centre is set up across 4 classrooms, including a lovely character villa and purpose-built classroom's, which are nestled around a huge and well-established outdoor area.

About the role:  

If you are a motivated team player and have a passion for teaching young children and are currently enrolled to study in a level 7 ECE programme (ECE Bachelor), we want to hear from you. This role will be based in our O2 rooms with the flexibility to experience the U2 age group as well. 

This is a permanent position working 30 hours per week Monday–Friday. We are ideally looking for someone in their 1st year of study.

Role requirements:  

  • Enrolment into a level 7 ECE Bachelor course  
  • Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning  
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whāriki and hold compliance in a high regard  
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices.
