Arts teacher (dance and drama)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time fixed-term specialised teacher in the curriculum area of the arts from July through to June 2025. Our community has requested this position to support our students across the arts as they recognise this is something our students have a real passion for. The successful candidate will be confident and passionate about teaching the specific dance and drama arts curriculum from Y0–8. Flexibility, willingness to collaborate and high expectations of students will also be strengths. This position will complement our visual arts/music role we have filled. 

Our ākonga love to perform and you will equip them with the skills to be able to meet their potential in dance and drama.

Pahiatua School is set in a small friendly community town of Pahiatua 25 minutes’ drive from Palmerston North. We are a full primary with students of  Y0-8 with a roll of approximately 400 students. We have a very strong supportive and inclusive culture, where our staff and tamariki thrive. Our fantastic staff are passionate, collaborative and determined to ensure that every learner reaches their potential. Our learners are enthusiastic, motivated and love to come to school. We are well resourced, with expansive grounds, modern classrooms and teaching assistant support.
