We are on the lookout for an inspiring team leader to lead our amazing team of kaiako!

About us:

Our centre revolves around child-led, learning through play and exploration. Our children’s ideas spring from their imaginations, not from screens. Our big open play space allows our tamariki to engage in authentic, exciting interactions with the ‘real world’ and its elements. We believe that animals have much to teach children and offer children a wide variety of animals to interact with! As well as working closely with animals, their feeding and care, we also focus on horticulture and spend time gardening, and growing plants and flowers.

What are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate is an individual who is deeply passionate about delivering quality learning and care to every tamaiti entrusted to us. They should excel at fostering responsive relationships with tamariki and their whānau, and they should possess approachability and a readiness to tackle challenges head-on. A Level 7 qualification (or its NZQA equivalent) in ECE is essential, along with full or provisional registration. We value an open-minded approach to diverse philosophies, offering ample opportunities for personal and professional growth within our team of dedicated educators.

As a valued member of our team, you can be assured of:

  • Full Pay Parity!
  • A comprehensive induction programme with regular and ongoing mentoring and professional development
  • Discounted childcare
  • Full reimbursement for teacher registration costs
  • First aid certification, annual flu vaccination and staff uniforms
  • A generous PLD budget where you can choose PLD for your own learning
  • A monthly staff wellbeing budget and access to EAP services
  • A supportive and highly skilled team to work alongside.
