Waihola District School is a small country school in a community of approximately 500 people, with 26 students spread across two classrooms. Our school is in Waihola, a small rural lakeside community located between Dunedin and Milton. The tight-knit, country culture of our school and community is what sets us apart and we are seeking a candidate who is used to small town life or seeking a refreshing change of pace.
Our school is undergoing a period of significant change, and we are looking for a passionate, adaptable and innovative leader who can embed our school vision and values across all that we do. As we are a small school, we are seeking a candidate who is both an experienced school leader and an adept primary school teacher. It is anticipated that this role will be 0.5 FTTE school leadership, 0.5 FTTE classroom teacher, however we are open to a co-principal approach and welcome suggestions of other innovative leadership models also.
A successful candidate will need to be:
