We are seeking a classroom teacher who has a passion for teaching Y7 and 8 age groups.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a recently established Y7–15 school in Hāwera, South Taranaki with a roll of approximately 1000 students.
Are you interested in working alongside other great teachers developing a future-focused school based on collaborative and flexible teaching and learning?
We welcome teachers with a growth mindset and a student-centred focus, who have knowledge of, or a willingness to learn integrated curriculum design.
The successful applicants will be RbL practitioners, innovative and driven to provide equitable learning outcomes. They will be pedagogically progressive, form effective professional relationships with students and whānau and be keen to contribute to the all-round education of our students.
The willingness to learn or ability to implement te reo and a localised curriculum that incorporates Aotearoa history is necessary.
The terms and conditions, including base salary, for these positions are set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $59,027 to $99,216, depending on the applicant’s qualifications and experience. Individuals' actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
Teaching staff who are appointed to Te Paepae o Aotea are entitled to the High Priority Teacher Supply Allowance ($2,500 per annum). This also means for appointees who will be relocating to Hāwera, they are entitled to apply for relocation costs.
