About Us: Geckos Childcare, is dedicated to nurturing tamariki aged 0-5 years. Our unique structure has 3 locations with each providing an environment for a different age group, giving the tamariki a space to call their own and allow them to flourish. All our locations are within walking distance of each and our teams work together to provide seamless transitions when tamariki are ready to move to the next environment.

Role overview: We are seeking an experienced centre manager to oversee the daily operations of one of our centres. You will ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children and staff, uphold our educational philosophy, and maintain high standards of care.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage day-to-day centre operations.
• Implement a high-quality, child-led learning curriculum.
• Foster a positive environment for children, staff, and families.
• Manage enrolments, staff rosters, and administrative tasks.
• Ensure regulatory and licensing compliance.
• Build strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and the community.
• Support the professional development of teaching staff.

Qualifications and experience:

• Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education.
• Proven leadership experience in early childhood education.
• Strong understanding of child-led learning principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage administrative tasks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Passion for nurturing and inclusive learning environments.
