Classroom teacher

Awapuni School have, one full-time fixed-term teaching position for term 4 of 2024. The successful applicant will be teaching a Y3-4 class. Experienced teachers are preferred, however, a dedicated and committed beginner teacher would also be considered as would a candidate who is likely to complete their initial ITE (and subject to being granted registration with the Education Council of New Zealand).

Being able to demonstrate successful teaching practice in Structured Literacy and Mathematics for these year levels are key requirements. Knowledge of PB4L and passion for the arts is highly desirable. Developed digital technology skills and the ability to integrate ICTs into learning programmes is also beneficial.

We welcome applications from NZ registered and trained teachers who have a sound knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum, have strong classroom management skills, can work in a team environment, and are able to develop excellent learner focused relationships and be excited to be part of our Awapuni whānau.
