Hauraki Plains College is ‘More Than a School’. We offer an exceptional educational experience, where our young people are nurtured, inspired and empowered to achieve highly and be strong in this world.

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Science Curriculum Leader to lead our strong and diverse science teachers. Our school promotes and enjoys a collaborative and supportive culture where we are committed to ‘Excellence is Our Tradition’.  We are undertaking professional development of all staff with a particular focus on school wide literacy and numeracy.

As we redesign our curriculum to support national changes we require applicants to be flexible and passionate about developing engaging local learning experiences, especially through our junior curriculum. We would love to increase the number of students choosing Science pathways.

This is a full time, permanent position, with a flexible start date. Ideally we would like applicants to start at the beginning of term 4, however we can wait until 2025 for the right candidate.

There are plenty of wonderful places you might consider calling home. We are part of a strong Kāhui Ako and have fantastic connections with our local primary schools. We may have a school house available for rent.
