Join our passionate team and shape the future of our tamariki!
Nestled in a picturesque semi-rural setting, our school offers a warm and welcoming environment with fantastic, well-behaved students, a supportive community, and small class sizes. We are seeking a collaborative, energetic teacher who is eager to join our whānau and grow alongside us, always putting our tamariki at the heart of everything we do. Our school fosters a positive atmosphere, values teacher well-being, and believes in having fun together as a staff.
This is a fixed-term maternity leave position in our senior school (Y5–6), starting in term 4 and continuing through all of 2025. It may also include a management unit, and could potentially lead to a permanent role at another year level.
Key attributes we seek:
Passion for teaching and learning: A genuine love for inspiring and guiding our tamariki.
Collaborative spirit: A team player who enjoys working together to achieve shared goals.
Openness to new ideas: A willingness to explore innovative approaches and embrace change.
Curriculum knowledge: A strong understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and its implementation.
Bicultural commitment: A commitment to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi and incorporating bicultural practices into your teaching.
Excellent communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and whānau.
A willingness to learn is essential as we embark on a Professional Learning journey in Structured Literacy and Te Ao Māori.
If you are passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of our tamariki and are ready to embark on an exciting journey with our kura whānau, we invite you to apply.
