Northland Kindergarten Association (NKA) is seeking an enthusiastic teacher to join the team at Dargaville Kindergarten, Kaipara. To commence August 2024.
The teaching team at Dargaville Kindergarten are committed to an emergent, child focused, child initiated, play and resource-based curriculum embracing the principles of the national early childhood curriculum Te Whāriki. Dargaville Kindergarten work to provide an environment that embraces diversity while promoting curiosity, exploration, communication, and deeper thinking and is an Enviroschool Kindergarten having recently celebrated their Bronze tohu.
Dargaville Kindergarten has a team of 5 teachers and a part time administrator. The kindergarten operates five 6-hour sessions Monday to Friday, catering for 40 children between two and six years of age. Dargaville kindergarten operates as an All-Year Model, operational for 48 weeks per year.
Dargaville Kindergarten is part of a network of 25 kindergartens within the NKA. The kindergarten is supported by professional practice and management teams. NKA adheres to the employment conditions as offered in the Kindergarten Teacher, Head Teachers and Senior Teachers Collective Agreement 2023-2026.
Applicants must hold a recognized New Zealand ECE qualification (minimum Dip Teaching ECE), current practicing certificate, and first aid certificate.
