Visiting teacher

Rockmybaby® offers an exceptional, education-focused home-based childcare service. We are excited to expand our team with a passionate and dedicated early childhood teacher committed to fostering an educational environment in residential settings.

This is a full-time role. A company car and essential tools (laptop, phone, printer, etc.) will be provided for your professional use.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in guiding and supporting our network of home-based Educators who provide care for preschool children. Your responsibilities will include promoting our services within the community through participation in playgroups and organizing educational excursions.

The role includes a significant amount of fieldwork, visiting homes to engage with and support our educators, and facilitating a community-focused program of events and outings. Additionally, you will manage some administrative tasks from a home office setup.

Ideal candidate

We are looking for an individual who possesses:

• A deep commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Certification as a registered early childhood teacher.
• A current first aid certificate and a full driver’s license.
• High self-motivation, integrity, superb time management, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Confidence and proficiency in IT.
• A thorough understanding of Te Whāriki, ECE regulations, legislation, and internal evaluation processes.

Key responsibilities:

• Crafting educational programming plans and maintaining detailed child and educator notes.
• Inspiring and supporting educators, families, and children.
• Conducting monthly visits to plan professional development opportunities for educators.
• Organizing playgroups and excursions to foster a robust community learning environment.
