Roll 22, Y0–8
Our school vision is to provide a quality teaching and learning environment that encourages and supports the development of lifelong learners.
The Waikaia Valley is one of Southland’s best kept secrets, with its glistening snow topped mountains, tussock grasslands and beautiful rivers as the backdrop to a strong rural farming community.
We are an energetic and ambitious school with supportive parents and school board who encourage professional development. We are seeking a passionate teaching principal who aligns themselves with our strong school values:
We are kind/Kia Manawanui
We are responsible/Takahanga
We do our best/Mo te hemo tonu atu
Along with the above we are looking for an effective classroom teacher with in-depth knowledge of the current curriculum and best practice, the ability to plan, to assess and to deliver quality learning programmes. Someone with great communication skills who can relate well to our fantastic rural community, who can inspire our children and be a great role model are key. Experience with school management desirable, however support for developing these skills will be provided.
School house is available if needed.
We invite and encourage applicants to visit our school.
