Kaiako O2's

We are looking for a qualified and registered Kaiako to join our over 2’s team. We offer great ratios of 1:8 and often 1:7. We are looking for some who holds NZ teacher registration and had experienced with te whariki and working in NZ.

Our centre is a non-profit centre. We focus our money on hiring great kaiako, purchasing resources which engage and inspire our tamariki and creating a relaxing and calming environments for tamariki.

We are committed to supporting our kaiako and their mental health. We have an ethos of management and teachers supporting each other throughout the day. Our centre operates at its best when we have happy supported kaiako. We acknowledge that all kaiako have passions and strengths to bring to their role and we encourage this.

kaiako have their Teacher Registration reimbursed. We pay for First Aid training and for the time to attend, monthly staff meetings are paid.

Our philosophy is based on supporting the mana of tamariki and kaiako, valuing respect, Maanakitanga and kaitiakitanga.

We are heavily guided by Rie, Pikler and Reggio Emilia philosophies. We operate on a child led, free play programme where the individual child is central to planning alongside this we are supporting and promoting group interests.

With our Ratios we can concentrate our time on interacting, engaging and supporting the tamariki in their growth and development.
