All learning areas, with a particular focus in Literacy and Numeracy.

We are looking for a focused and energetic kaiako to work as a part of Te Kāhui Ako o Mangakōtukutuku in Melville, Hamilton. You will be based full-time at Mangakōtukutuku College. 

You must have a strong knowledge of the NZ Curriculum, formative practice, culturally responsive pedagogy, and the ability to form effective collaborative relationships with others.  We need someone who cares about the success and wellbeing of all learners and the ability to build strong relationships with whānau and supporting agencies to ensure the very best outcomes for all learners.

The role will include:

  • Supporting akonga through inclusive practices which encourages participation and success
  • Support kaiako to lift their capability to better meet the needs of learners
  • Liaise with and build working relationships with parents and whānau 
  • Working alongside other LSCs and connect with other agencies
  • Working as part of a team to ensure students receive the appropriate support to enhance their learning

The role requires a commitment to Te ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi. You will be an integral part of our school teams, so attending staff meetings, team meetings and other Kāhui Ako learning related activities are all a part of this position.
