Looking for the right centre to apply your well-honed intentional teaching practices? Fascinated by Reggio-inspired child-lead investigations, exploring nature and art? If you have a passion for teaching older toddlers blossoming into pre-schoolers then this role is for you.
We are looking for an experienced and (preferably) ECE-qualified kaiako who is interested in being a pedagogical coach to our less experienced teachers. You will have a passion and enthusiasm for working at Daisies. You will be working closely with the head teacher helping to design and implement the curriculum, and as a second person responsible.
Daisies has a strong focus on learning for all, including our kaiako. Three times each year we run in-house wananga lead by our directors, head teachers, education leaders and external experts.
We are looking for a Key Teacher and Education Leader for "Te Pihinga" house. Te Pihinga means young plant; our tamariki range in age from around 3 to 5 years. Most children at Te Pihinga are initially enrolled next door at Te Purapura and transition to Te Pihinga.
Please also apply if you aspire to be an Education Leader in a year or two, as part of your career growth – we have some flexibility for this role.
Further information about Daisies can be found on our website www.daisies.co.nz.
Daisies was created 16 years ago with a vision of intentionally applying best practice in ECE – drawn from research and observations from Anne Meade and Rachel Denee, our lead pedagogistas - inspiring others to do the same. In 2019 we opened our second centre, creating two distinctive houses with a stronger focus on each age-group. There is significant interaction between the houses, with a collaborative leadership model. We are active participants in the Reggio Emilia Aotearoa community of practice, with a strong interest in RIE/Pikler philosophies.
Please send a detailed cover letter with your CV, and direct enquiries to:
