We are looking for a full-time, permanent teacher of mathematics with the ability to teach to senior levels.
You will be joining a highly motivated department that is passionate about raising student achievement and has high expectations of both students and staff members. The successful applicant will be committed and have the willingness and ability to build genuine relationships with students, staff and whānau.
You will have the ability and willingness to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team and the energy to implement the latest developments in teaching and learning methods, including confidence in the use of digital technology.
Experience in a high equity index school or similar multi-cultural environment would be an advantage as is a genuine belief that all students have the ability to excel in Mathematics.
There may also be the opportunity for the right applicant to take on a kaiārahi/dean role as a member of our pastoral team. State your experience in this area in your application.
The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position are set by the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $62K to $95K, depending on the applicant's qualifications and experience. Kaiarahi/deans also receive two management units to the value of $5K each. Individuals' actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
