Overview:
As the tumuaki/principal of Garston School you will have the opportunity to shape the school's vision, inspire innovation, and promote a culture of collaboration, equity and excellence. The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities, a deep understanding of teaching and learning practice and curriculum development, and a passion for nurturing the growth and wellbeing of every ākonga and kaimahi.
Along with the opportunities at Garston School, there is a beautiful 3-bedroom home within the school grounds. The home is fully insulated, double glazed with wetback fire and stunning views over the Mataura River and surrounding mountains.

Provide visionary leadership to inspire and motivate children, and whānau
Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that values diversity and promotes ākonga belonging, engagement and wellbeing
Collaboration
Build strong relationships with whānau and stakeholders to support student success and enhance the school's connection to its community
Effective school management.
Qualifications and experience:
Qualified teacher
Proven experience in ongoing learning within an educational setting, with a track record of leading effective teacher practice to maximise outcomes for all students
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
A deep commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, belonging, equity and excellence.
